Justin’s nine years of experience in the oil and gas industry includes extensive work in business development and customer relations, SWD equipment design, end user specifications analysis, evaluation of new technologies for SWD services, job estimating and proposal, cost and construction oversight, logistics coordinating and long term maintenance planning.
Before joining Black Bison, Justin was the SWD Sales Engineer at National Oilwell Varco, one of the world’s largest oil and gas service companies. He was part of the team that built SWD packages for many of the major E&P companies, independent operators and most of the start up SWD companies in the Bakken and Rocky Mountains. Past customers include Statoil, Whiting Petroleum, Noble Energy, Oasis Petroleum, Continental Resources, PDC Energy, WPX Energy, SBG Disposals, Salt Water Disposals of North Dakota, Rain for Rent, Oxy, EOG Resources, Encana, Double Eagle Petroleum, Chesapeake, Anadarko, Zavanna, Buckhorn Energy, Bosque Disposal Systems, SM energy, Breitburn O&G, Rockwater Energy and others. This amount of experience translates into approximately 50 SWD packages within the last four years.
Mr. Kreul brings more than three decades of experience in midstream operations to Black Bison, with expertise in strategic planning, operations reengineering, and mergers and acquisitions. For nearly a decade, Mr. Kreul served as Vice President of Energy Delivery at Aquila Inc. He later was a Vice President of Inergy, L.P., and managed the company’s West Coast midstream operation. In addition to the CEO role at Black Bison, Mr. Kreul serves as President of Mowood LLC, wholly owned subsidiary of CorEnergy Infrastructure Trust (NYSE: CORR). He also supports CORR’s manager Corridor InfraTrust Management, LLC, a real property asset manager focused on U.S. energy infrastructure. He earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arkansas.
Joe brings 20 years of water treatment experience to the team. Over his career he has been instrumental in the development of comprehensive treatment solutions across a range of industries as well as within the oil and gas vertical. Joe will lead Black Bison’s efforts to select robust field proven solutions for disposal and reuse that meet the unique needs of each customer and the shale play they are working within. Past water treatment and reuse customers include Nalco, General Electric, Halliburton, Baker Hughes, Black & Veatch, International Paper, Freeport McMoran, BHP, Comalco, BP, EXXON, Valero, Praxair, and ICI to name a few.
Matt is a serial entrepreneur and brings a wide range of business experience over the past 15 years to the Black Bison team, including M&A activity, deal structure, and successful private equity transactions. He has direct experience in concept, coordination, planning, and management of overall business development and growth. Matt will lead Black Bison’s efforts in building a robust customer base, ensuring disposal requirements are coordinated and fulfilled as well as safeguarding Black Bison’s safety practices to the highest industry standards.
James was a 31c Radio Operator in the 82nd Airborne with 38 recorded military Airborne Operations. Upon his return to Wyoming, he took the skills attained in the Military to start a career in service. He has extensive automotive experience as well as industrial compressor with his time at Hanover Compression, as well as Well head servicing and testing with his time at Cobra Well Testers. Prior to joining Black Bison James worked at National Oilwell Varco in a variety of roles around service and support of products sold by NOV. Justin and James worked hand in hand in the past when Justin designed build and started up salt water facilities. James is the point of contact for on going service and support and facilities operations.
